Brian’s legs haven’t seen the sun in a long time. So the myth has been dispelled. Asian’s do burn. Well at least Brian.
Brian couldn’t walk for the first two days.

Aloha
There’s no such thing as paradise. I always thought paradise had to be a place. Someplace amazing, beautiful, stunning, breath-taking. For me, paradise isn’t a place. I want it to be. But it’s just not happening for me.
We’re on an island. It’s 85 degrees, the humidity is low, the sun is out, and the surf is amazing. However, I find myself, lost in my thoughts, and in the work and journey ahead of us.
Yesterday, we were at the launch party for Roz Savage. She’s rowing across the Pacific Ocean. She started the second leg of her trip yesterday from Hawaii. Destination? Australia. She’ll make one pit stop in a nearby island.
This woman, is rowing across the ocean. 12 hours a day. Pretty much living off food bars. We saw her row into the dark, empty ocean yesterday. I can’t even begin to imagine, being out there, alone, in the unknown.
After seeing the tiny row boat, drip off into the distance, I began to ponder about our project, and what we had in store for us. Hawaii is symbolic in many ways. It’s the last state to be part of America and it’s our last state of our journey. I seem to blend in amongst the large asian population here, but yet, I feel myself detached from society and the community here. There is something to examine about myself here.
Maybe I’ll think about it, while I rub all the dead skin off my peeling back.

Aloha!
I never thought this day would come. We’re sitting at the airport and waiting for our flight to depart. The traveling has taken a toll on our bodies and our minds. However, it’s exciting to know that we are on the last leg of the trip. We’ll be on Oahu for the next week. We’re still not sure what to film here, or what we’re going to see. Let’s just see what happens.
Thank you for you support, your contributions, and for taking the time to follow our long journey. Our travels will end with Hawaii, but from June to September, is when the real work begins.

It’s been a very long journey and it wouldn’t have been possible without you. All the donations, the emails, the phone calls has made a huge difference for us. We made it this far.
We’re currently in Portland, Oregon. We’ll be hitting the road back to California on Friday. We’ll be in SF until the 20th. We’ll be heading to Hawaii from LA, on the 22nd. Then, we’ll be back on the 29th. That will be conclusion of our trip.
Over the next few months, when we get back, we’ll be editing the film and making the distribution arrangements. We’ll be rolling out weekly web videos and continually updating everyone out there.
So keep us in mind, we’re still working hard on the release. The tentative release date will be mid-September. I like September 15th.
Until then, if you want to join us in Hawaii, let me know.
At least we don’t have to sleep in any more Walmarts, for now.

Alaska, the last frontier. The “other” country in America. I can’t believe we made it here.
