We needed a mural for our world premiere.

We called Mike Kershnar. He said yes. Now, we’re stoked.

A little about Mike:

T.R.E. Mike Kershnar from B-Rilla on Vimeo.

My name is Mike Kershnar and I believe life is to be lived.  I believe we all have a gift to share with the world.  That gift is our part in bringing more light into this world that often seems so engulfed in darkness.  I try to live my life embodying my core values.  These core values are based on purpose, passion, joy, gratitude, and a real relationship with the natural world, and its Creator.  My artwork humbly seeks to be a signpost pointing the way towards the earth, to purpose, to vision, to healing, and to a more fully awakened state of being.  My influences are indigenous art styles from around the world especially Northern Formline, Aboriginal dreamtime art, and the Huichol aesthetic. It is one of my goals to do an exhaustive series on North American wildlife to draw attention to the beautiful creatures we co-inhabit this land with.  I thank you for taking the time to look at a physical representation of my beliefs, based on my life’s experience thus far.  Many blessings on your path.

Mike will be featuring his paintings at our premiere on 9/30 at the Victoria Theatre. His paintings will be available for purchase at the premiere. Please bring your checkbooks. We already wrote ours!

Folks, we’re hitting the road again. We’re not driving this time. We’re flying. Jetblue launched an All-You-Can-Jet Pass for $600, and we bought it. And we’re coming to a city near you, to show a preview for our film!

This campaign is called: “10 Days Til Tre”

It’s the 10 day Pre-Tour for our film The Recess Ends.  We are kicking off our Pre-Tour on September 19, 2009 in New York City, at the Black Out Film Festival.

The countdown will end on SEPTEMBER 30, 2009 for our world premier in San Francisco. Location: TBD

We were attempting to visit ten cities, in ten days. But, based on time constraints and flight logistics, it began to look like a fiasco. These are the cities and dates of our “10 Days Til TRE” Pre-Tour.

We’ll be posting more information about screening locations as we get closer to the dates!

Contact our Tour Director, Katie Murrin for information or questions: 925.285.3531

TRE Webisode: “Long Hair Manifesto”

Untitled from B-Rilla on Vimeo.

It seems like ages ago when we stumbled into Portland, Maine. So far from home, yet it felt like the coffee shop we were so familiar with at home in California.

It was there we met Dave and Rick. Practicing and freestyle before their show that evening.

Again, music is the key to many of life’s answers.

Long hairs rule.

A Long Way From Home

A Long Way From Home from B-Rilla on Vimeo.

Alaska, is truly the last frontier.

As soon as we landed, we started driving. We didn’t know where we were going. I just wanted to go somewhere.

We ended up in Homer, Alaska.

At the edge of the sand spit, we met Claudio, his motor home, and his puppy golden retriever. He didn’t even have to say anything, and I knew he had found life. Claudio, truly knows how to enjoy life. Something we can all learn from.
